Sergio is from Sevilla in Spain where he grew up and attended the University of Sevilla earning a Bachelors Degree in Spanish Literature and Linguistics, and qualifying as a teacher of Spanish for children and adults certified to teach Spanish as a Modern Foreign Language.  He then pursued an MA in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language at the University of Barcelona.    He also obtained a QTS in the UK. He has done extensive training with Cambridge for the teaching of Spanish (IGCSE and A Level), with the Cervantes Institute to teach children and also as a DELE examiner, and as an IB teacher he has done additional workshops in Spanish B, Ab Initio and MYP Leadership.  He has also done training as an outdoor coach for football, first aid and chess. His career as an international school IBPYP, IBMYP and IBDP Spanish teacher (Language Acquisition and Language A)  has taken him to Taiwan, Bahamas, but he has also lived and taught in schools and universities, or volunteered, in Spain, Italy, the UK, Azerbaijan and Hong Kong teaching Spanish or English with orphans and refugees and in support of outdoor education and animal welfare.   He is now in Spain teacher at an international school.  Sergio is happy to work with our ILLTC students of all levels.
