Loukia grew up in Athens where she also did her university studies, graduating from the University of Athens earning a BA Classical and Modern Greek Philology.  She has also obtained QTS status (UK) and she earned a Certificate on  Educational Process- Approaches to the teaching of Writing from the University of California in Berkeley (US). Since graduating, Loukia has worked for at three IB World School in Greece, and through that work has attended IB workshops for IB Literature and IB Language and Literature  in Amsterdam and Athens, as well as IB online webinars on the Individual Oral, as well as remote learning and a Visible Thinking course at Athens College.  Working at internationally accredited schools, she has also done numerous courses for child safeguarding – including for boarding students – and health and safety.

Over the years, Loukia has taught both IBMYP and IBDP Greek programmes, and for 10 years she has supported SSST Greek students online.  We are pleased to have Loukia on our team and able to support both pre-IB mother tongue students as well at SSST IB candidates.
