Pauline is originally from the Netherlands where she earned a BA in Information & Communication at the University of Amsterdam. She then continued to gain an MA and a PGCE at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, focusing on languages, education and publishing.
She started her working life in marketing working over the years with a variety of financial institutions. She turned to teaching in the UK (where she has lived for 23 years) at Dutch government schools (De Regenboog School in London and De Zeven Eiken School where she served as Chair, governor and teacher). She is also teaching International Baccalaureate at Sevenoaks School in Kent. In addition to Dutch primary and secondary curriculum, she has taught Dutch for IGCSEs and also IB Dutch A and B.
