Meet The Teachers
Get to know our wonderful consultants. We drive for excellence and seek consultants who have proven experience, who have experience of IB education, who have a passion for the value of mother tongue language learning, and who aspire to model the IB Learner Profile attributes. Almost all of the 100+ teachers who have worked with us have been personally recommended and introduced to us by trusted and valued IB colleagues working in the field. In addition to seeking consultants who have the background and expertise to support SSST Literature A students, we seek teachers who will hopefully possess the ‘e-empathy’ skills that enhance the one-to-one virtual learning environment.
Sirjusa
Sirjusa lives in Albania where she teaches and holds posts of responsibility in an IB World School.
Waleed
Waleed is from Egypt where he has taught Arabic throughout the school. He has a strong interest in inquiry-based learning.
Shafag
Shafag is a Professor of Literature at the Baku Slavic University and also teaches Language A at the International School of Azerbaijan.
Karalina
Karalina was born and raised in Minsk, Belarus, and is now living in London where she has been involved with the IB Literature programme for many years.
Farjahan
Farjahan has had an extensive career as both a broadcaster and as a teacher of IB Bengali Language A with the Aga Khan School in Dhaka and at the International School of Dhaka as well as with SSST Bengali students at the the United World College of Maastricht
Rossitsa
Rossitsa has many years’ experience as a teacher of IB Bulgarian at all levels of the curriculum in an IB World School.

Yee started her career working in a French bank in Hong Kong but soon felt a passion for teaching and has worked IB World Schools in London and Switerland.

Dana was born and raised in Czechoslovakia, where she attended Charles University, one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Europe. She currently lives in London and works at an IB World School.
Lisbeth
Lisbeth was born in Denmark but now lives in Oxford with her family where she teaches in two IB World Schools.
Angeles
Angeles is a French and Spanish teacher who is originally from France, but now teaches in an Oxford IB school working wit French and Spanish teachers, and serving as an personal tutor with boarding students.
Hélène
Hélène is French but grew up internationally and has continued her international journey to this day. She has taught French, German and English to adults and young people worldwide.
Julie
Julie is from France where she did her universities studies, but she has taught French all over the world and is now at at IB School in Romania.
Lief
Lief was born in Antwerp to a polyglot family and after studying Philosophy, Music and Languages in university, she cam as a young adult to the UK where she has taught Dutch to students of all ages, including IB students.
Pauline
Ingrid was born in the Netherlands since coming to the UK has worked with Dutch government schools and also an IB School in Kent. She has taught IB Literature A and Language B. L
Sonam
Sonam is a teacher of IB Dzongkha, the language of Bhutan, but he is also singer who has recorded many of his own compositions.
Eeva
Eeva is Finnish by birth and education. Shortly after her marriage she moved to the UK where she teaches students of all ages, including IB students.
Elina
Elina is Finnish polyglot who lives in the UK and has taught Finnish to students of all ages, including IBPYP, IBMYP and IBDP.
Nathalie
Nathalie is from France and graduated from the Sorbonne University in Paris where she studied French Literature and Linguistics , and the teaching of French as a Foreign Language.

Sagia was raised in the north of France but now livs in Vienna where she works with several of our students and students in local IB Schools. She also has a passion for poetry and performance literature.

Margot is French but currently lives in Dublin where she teaches French and manages her own French language school.
Martina
Martina is from Germany but she and her family have lived all over the world. Now based in Vienna, she he is speaker of German, English, Italian and Spanish, and works with our pre-IBDP students of German.

Steffi is from Germany and has degrees in German Linguistics and Literature and Applied Linguistics and teachers at IBMYP and IBDP levels at an IB World School.
Stephanie
Stephanie is a German polyglot who has travelled the world teaching German to students of all ages, including IBMYP and IBDP students.
Vera
Vera is an experienced IB German teacher who has taught internationally and now lives in the USA.
Tamara
Tamara was born in Israel, studied film and journalism in Tel Aviv and has worked as a journalist and Hebrew teacher in Luxembourg and the UK

Prabha was born and raised in Calcutta and now works in Singapore as a Hindi Language A teacher in an IB World School.

Peter has loved Hungarian Literature since his days as a high school student.
Luca
Luca is a teacher of Italian language and literature who studied and taught in London and in Oxford before returning to Florence where he is a teacher, poet and author.

Paola is from the south of Italy but has also studied and taught in Rome and now London where she teaches Italian to students of all ages.

Serena was born and raised in Italy. She has lived in London for more than 25 years teaching at IBMYP, IBDP and university level.

Makiko is originally from Japan but has travelled to North and South America, Australia Europe, Asia and the Middle East a teacher of Japanese A&B at several IB World Schools.

Mika grew up in Japan but has been in the UK since she first came to do her graduate studies.

Rita teaches Hungarian at a London University, but she also has a passion for theatre and drama.

Alla is from Russian but moved to Ukraine where she finished her schooling and did her university studies in Russian. She has been a journalist and teacher, and is now living in London.

Tatiana started off in Russia with a career in publishing and editing, but for the past 15 years has taught in European IB World Schools.
