German-KristinaKristina was born and raised in Germany. She completed her Abitur in Bad Hersfeld, and then studied English and German Philology and Pedagogy at Philipps University in Marburg. She worked briefly in the US and then Britain where she embarked on further university study earning a Postgraduate Diploma in Translation (English/German) from the Institute of Linguists, University of London, a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education) for Secondary Modern Foreign Languages at Kingston University, and then an MA in German Studies (Merit) from Birkbeck College, University of London. During her teaching career in the UK she has taught at a number of British state schools, academies and independent schools offering the English National Curriculum as well as the IB Language A. These include IB World Schools including Dwight North London International School (formerly Woodside Park) Hammersmith and West London College, and the International School of London where she continues to teach. She has attended many professional development workshops related to the IBPYP, IBMYP and IBDP,and she is a member of the International Association of Languages and Intercultural Communication (IALIC).
