Eleni is Greek and is now based in Athens. She grew up in Greece where after her high schooling she earned a BA in Greek Philology and Modern Greek, and she then obtained an MA in Modern Greek and medieval, and comparative literature, all from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has also engaged in post-graduate studies with a Greek State Scholarship. She has had a successful teaching career first at the Institut Français de Thessalonique, where she taught translation, and Greek language, at the Deutsche Schule Thessaloniki, 2000-2004 where she taught Greek. During this time, she also did study in France. Most recently for over 10 years she has been teaching at The Moraitis School, an IB World School. This long service in an IB School has included participation in IB Workshops and roles as an IBO moderator and other roles of responsibility within the IBO for Greek Language. She has also worked with SSST Greek students over the past years. Eleni has also supervised Extended Essays on a range of subjects including national identities, war reception, self-referring poetry, and gender construction. We are delighted that Eleni is a part of our team and able to work with SSST students worldwide.
